BEIJING- Four Seasons Hotel, MIO

In June 2017, MuYi organised a dinner showcasing the wines of Clos Rougeard at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beijing. Accompanied by a menu created especially for the dinnner by chef Aniello Turco, the guests at this dinner were able to taste through a range of what are arguably the greatest red wines in the Loire.

Among the highlights of the evening where the mature and yet youthful 1996 Bourg, as well as its younger brother, the 2006. A favourite of Nady Foucault’s for current drinking, the 2006 is indeed in a beautiful place right now, with a beguiling nose and a palate impression that just starts to open up and reveal more complex nuances.

This was the first such dinner organised in the Chinese capital, and the wines left all of us duly impressed!
